A real kiss quickens your pulse to 100 beats in a minute.
Did you know our brains have special neurons that help us locate each other’s
lips in the dark.
Your lips are 100 times more sensitive than the tips of your fingers as they have only three to five layers of skin cells compared to 15 over rest of
the body.
Kissing's
like a beauty treatment
.... Scientific tests show that good kissing
helps reduce dermatitis, skin
rashes and blemishes.
It also makes your skin glow and your eyes shine.
A kiss a day will keep the dentist away too ....
Kissing encourages
saliva to wash away food and lowers the level of the acid that causes
decay, preventing plaque build-up.
Babies who are kissed usually have a
greater capacity for intimacy later in life and at least 50% of us have
kissed before we are 14.
The average person spends 336 hours of their life kissing.
At an approximately one minute each, that’s 20,160 kisses!
So it’s worth learning to do it well
and by the way good, rich, passionate kissing can burn up to 600
calories per hour.
Look after your lips .... Lips tend to dry out the fastest at this time of year.
Be sure to keep them covered with a good lip balm applied several times during
the day.
You can mix one-tablespoon cranberry sauce juice with two tablespoons
Vaseline for a delicious home made lip balm.
When outdoors use a lip balm that contains a SPF of at least 15 to prevent
sunburn.
Keep lips soft by not licking them, drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.
If lips become chapped, avoid wearing lipsticks as drying products in color pigments may irritate chapped lips.
A good tip is to massage your lips with coriander leaf juice for soft and rosy lips.
Apply a coat of lip balm before bed to help to moisturize lips while you sleep.
To remove flakes from dry lips, use a soft toothbrush, and gently brush
across your lips.
Warm sesame oil will also soothe your lips too .
If you wear lipstick ....
To stop lips from chapping use a very slight base of vaseline before applying.
To help lipstick stay longer, apply lip color, blot & dust with powder.
Then apply another layer of lipstick to make it last.
Check if you have the right amount of lipstick on.
Put your finger in your mouth after applying lipstick, and pull it out
gradually.
Any lipstick that comes off, on your finger, is excess!
For a perfect lip line, put your pencil in a glass of cold water for about
five minutes (with the cap on), then apply as usual.
Your pencil will be firmer and therefore produce more professional
results.
To make lips look Larger .... Apply a small dot of vaseline or lip gloss to the
middle of the bottom lip.
This brings the lips out, making them look larger.
To make lips look Smaller .... Use deeper colors and stick to a matte lipsticks.
Amazingly the average woman uses up approximately her height in lipstick every five years
and "eats up" about 2,5 lipstick pieces per year.
